We are Hiring a Full-Time Program and Editorial Assistant

The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is seeking to hire a full-time Program & Editorial Assistant to support its national network of student chapters and academic programming. AHS is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, national organization that seeks to identify, educate, and launch young men and women into foreign policy and national security careers imbued with the Hamiltonian perspective of strong and principled American leadership in global affairs. We have established student-run chapters at over 80 universities as well as professional chapters and programming in NYC and Washington, D.C. Our alumni and affiliates have gone on to serve in the highest levels of government and industry.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide support for all National Academic Programs, including conferences and fellowships, through content design, planning, implementation, and recruitment;

  • Assist in the production of the weekly newsletter, The Hamilton Dispatch, and the annual journal, The Hamiltonian, including the editorial process and digital content creation;

  • Provide support to student leaders to plan and execute all campus programming, including events with foreign policy experts, reading groups, and student-led group discussions on U.S. foreign policy and national security matters; 

  • Help oversee campus chapter member engagement processes and professional development through online resources, and collection, curating, and tracking of career opportunities;

  • Track and process all chapter-related quantitative and qualitative data and reimbursement systems; 

Requirements 

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences; 

  • A commitment to AHS’s mission and principles and an interest in U.S. foreign policy and national security;

  • Superior planning skills with strong attention to detail;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while adhering to deadlines;

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proactive personality;

  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing;

  • A basic familiarity with CRM systems like HubSpot and Google Workspace;
