Chapter of the Year & Chapter Leaderboard

The Chapter of the Year is selected from the top four chapters in each academic year. Additionally, speaker evaluations and the assessment of the national staff contribute to award selections. Except in unusual circumstances, the same chapter will not win the same award in consecutive years.

2023-2024: University of California, Berkeley

In the 2023-2024 school year, AHS Berkeley held ten debates and discussions with AHS speakers and other policy experts, which were attended by over 600 students. Speakers like Gen. John Allen, Dr. Thomas Mahnken, and Dr. Raphael Cohen spoke on subjects such as the impact of climate change on national security, emerging technologies and their threats, and the Israel-Hamas War.
