Taught by the American Enterprise Institute’s Dr. Kenneth Pollack, this virtual course will explore the intimate, pervasive, and inseparable relationship between politics and warfare. We will read selections from some of the classic works in the field, beginning with Clausewitz's masterpiece, On War, to explore how politics and war interact both in theory and practice. The course will examine their interaction as it affects strategy, civil-military relations, and the conduct of military operations on land, at sea, and in the air.
The course will meet for eight sessions from 6:00pm to 7:30pm ET on Mondays and Tuesdays during the first four weeks of June.
