Application — Library Series: Distinguished Practitioners & the Books that Made Them

In this unique opportunity, a select number of students will join Dr. Kori Schake, Director of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and former Deputy Director for Policy Planning in the U.S. State Department, to read through and discuss The Ugly American, a book that was particularly impactful on her intellectual and professional formation.

Through three intimate sessions, students will have occasion to reflect on how the nexus of the intellectual and personal translates into the professional domain. Students will be selected by competitive application; those admitted will receive complimentary copies of the book to be discussed.
